    Ms. Haefner is an Associate Attorney with Danner & Associates. From 1988 to 1994, Ms. Haefner was an Associate Attorney with the Washington, D.C. office of Ross & Hardies, a Chicago based law firm. While at Ross & Hardies, she practiced primarily in the area of Government Contracts. In this area, Ms. Haefner worked on a wide range of matters including contract formation; contract administration; contract claims and related appeals actions; protests and contract award litigation; and audit and procurement fraud investigations. In addition, Ms. Haefner participated in numerous matters involving ethical issues for contractors, matters related to small and small disadvantaged business programs and Privacy Act and Freedom of Information Act issues.
    While at Ross & Hardies, Ms. Haefner worked with Ms. Danner in her representation of national and state trade associations and manufacturers and suppliers of manufactured housing and building products. Specifically, Ms. Haefner worked on numerous matters related to federal and state regulatory and land use issues, as well as the preparation of articles of merger and bylaws for various national trade associations. She has also had experience in various aspects of telecommunications law, customs law and the registration of trademarks and service marks.
    From 1986 until 1987, she was an attorney-advisor with the U.S. Department of Labor Benefits Review Board. In this capacity, she drafted decisions and written memoranda and prepared and delivered oral presentations for nine Administrative Appeals Judges in the area of Black Lung Law. In 1987, she was promoted to the position of Deputy Associate General Counsel in which she supervised a team of six attorney-advisors.    
    Ms. Haefner earned her J.D. degree in 1986 from Boston University School of Law. While a law student, she was a member of the National College of Probate Judges and Boston University School of Law Probate Law Journal, and served as a Third Year Editor from 1985 to 1986. She earned her B.A. degree from Providence College in 1983.
    Ms. Haefner is a member of the Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia bars.
    Ms. Haefner is active in her community and currently serves as Treasurer of the Chase Hill Civic Association in Vienna, Virginia.
